A Loving Partnership: George & Phyllis Nolan

_DSC4779From the start, we’ve been partners in love, family, life and business. His legacy continues in the work of our company and in the work I do for my clients.

As in the past and now as I move forward after George’s passing on March 19th, 2016, my goal is to bring energy, expertise, and discipline to clients proactively seeking to achieve their self-defined next level of success.

More About Phyllis Nolan, President and Co-Founder
Phyllis is known for her enterprising, risk-taking nature and has a proven track record of 30+ years of connect experiences. Phyllis’ successes reflect strength in business management through team leadership, individual mentoring, sales and client management. She serves as leadership consultant and business development advisor to the recognized experiential training company, Positive Management Leadership, Inc. where she engages a number of client relationships within Fortune 1,000 companies throughout the US and Canada.

Phyllis has entrepreneurial experience as co-owner and publisher with a nationally circulated, general interest publication (Varia) marketing to the medical community and publishing for the pharmaceutical industry. Other career experiences include sales and management positions with Toshiba Power Systems, Phoenix Steel Co., The Johnson Companies, Greenleigh Consulting and the U.S. Dept. of Labor.

In 2014, Phyllis expanded her credentials by earning the Certified Professional Coach Credential from the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC) and is a member of the International Coaches Federation (ICF). Additionally, Phyllis holds a Certificate of Entrepreneurial Recognition from FastTrac© Growth Venture™ and the Basic Economic Development Certification from the University of N.C. at Chapel Hill. Phyllis holds a B.S. Degree from the University of Georgia, and a M.Ed. from Georgia State University.

Phyllis was awarded the South Carolina Women in Business Champion of the Year Award in recognition for her work in founding and leading the highly successful, Women’s Leadership Council in Greenwood SC.  In 2012, she initiated and co-chaired the inaugural Upstate Regional Women’s Leadership Conference in South Carolina and currently holds a position on the WLC’s leadership team.

George was known for his no-nonsense, hands-on pragmatic approach to problem-solving and technical analysis of business opportunities. His background and experiences spanned positions in heavy manufacturing, construction, the steel industry, management consulting, and the environmental industry. George was highly respected for his leadership in the environmental remediation business where he successfully led privately held start-up companies through growth and expansions resulting in awards for patented equipment, significant increase in revenues and expanded markets.

Adding to his significant career experiences, George pursued his passion and interests in culinary skills when he became the proud owner of a successful upscale catering business, Feasts of Fairville. George shared his business skills and interests in quality of life by accepting leadership roles in non-profits in his community. He also mentored to many young men seeking direction in life choices.

George held a B.S. degree in Business Management from Widener University in Chester PA.

With a flair in the kitchen and self taught culinary skills, George was also the author and co-publisher of Dad’s Delicious Dishes which he lovingly prepared for his son’s Jeremy and Daniel.
